King of the North

Walner - Check Me Out

Born: 2019    /    Record: 1.08,9    /    Purse: 1.370.242 dollar

King of the North made a sensational debut with his yearlings during the auctions in Lexington and Harrisburg last fall. His offspring averaged 90,765 dollars in Lexington (17 sold), and in Harrisburg his 39 offspring reached an average of 62,154 dollars! Only Muscle Hill, grandfather Chapter Seven, and sire Walner did better. Not too surprising, perhaps, since King of the North has all the qualities to become the heir to the throne.
King of the North was the top colt of his crop as a two-year-old, and after victories in the Peter Haughton Memorial, the William Wellwood, and the New Jersey Sire Stakes, he was named Two-Year-Old Trotter of the Year. As a three-year-old he followed up by winning the Breeders Crown and the Carl Erskine Memorial, and he left the racetrack with over 1.3 million dollars in earnings.
King of the North is by the breeding sensation Walner and comes from a maternal line that produces superstars and world-record holders. His dam Check Me Out was named Two-Year-Old Filly of the Year and Three-Year-Old Filly of the Year after dominating her crop and earning 1.9 million dollars. Her résumé also includes a world record. His third dam, No Nonsense Woman, was also a millionaire and a world-record holder! Check Me Out has also produced King of the North’s full brother The Rouge Prince 1:51,3 (1.09,4) and Check Her Out 1:53,3 (1.10,6).
King of the North has everything it takes, both in pedigree and performance, to elevate one of the trotting world’s most successful bloodlines even further.
